Falling in love with tortilla chips can be such and unhealthy relationship. Created in the 1940s to make use of misshaped, rejected tortillas, tortilla chips became quite a thing during the years establishing their own domain across the Tex-Mex scene of the states.

Outside of the US, tortilla chips aren’t that popular as other snacks like potato chips but still available in many flavors and dips.

Although created in the US, the tortilla chips soon found its way back to the Mexican cuisine and various dishes were created with it, like the most famous Nachos that is corn tortilla chips with melted cheese and an occasional topping.

What are keto tortilla chips?

For those who are on gluten free diets, the popularity of corn products is a true blessing, but for those who try their feet in the low carb world, corn tortillas aren’t much help, due to their similarly high carbs content compared to other snacks.

Luckily, we can make tortillas low carb or at least bake triangle shaped dough, they will look just like tortillas, and we can dip them into our favorite sauce just like real tortillas.

A slight disadvantage of keto tortilla chips is, that they don’t really crack that well as normal tortilla chips, except if they are overbaked. But hey, not all that is gold glitters either.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups / 2o0g Shredded Mozzarella
  • 1 cup / 100g Almond flour
  • 1 teaspoon / 5g Salt
  • frac12; teaspoon / 1g Paprika
  • 2 tablespoons / 30ml Greek yogurt

How to make Keto tortilla chips

  1. In a microwave safe bowl melt and stir Mozzarella, about 90 seconds on highest setting.Melt-mozzarella
